1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization:
Monitoring activities of subordinate offices regarding construction, maintenance and repair of roads (SH,MDR, ODR etc.) along with bridges, Govt. buildings. In the district of Puri/ Khordha/ and Nayagarh in the State of Orissa under public works department.
2. Mission/ Vision:
To improve road communication for better transportation, easy movement of goods and public. To provide building facilities for all departments of govt. of orissa.
3. History & Background of its Establishment:
This office created on 27.12.1946 with a view to monitor, regulate and provide guideance to the R&B Divisions under this office.
4. Duties Performed:
Supervision of construction and maintenances works of bridges roads and buildings and administrative control of sub-ordinate offices.
5. Main Activities/ Functions:
To extend technical instruction and guidance to the sub-ordinate offices in their works under Central Circle and to report to CE (D.P.I.& Roads), CE (Buildings), / CE (World Bank Projects)/ Govt. in Works Department BBSR the activities of subordinate officers.
6. Details of Services Rendered:
Registration of 'D' and 'C' class contractors.
7. Expectation of Public Authority from the Public for Enhancing its Effectiveness and Efficiency:
Co-operation of the public.
8. Arrangement and Methods made for Seeking Public Participation/ Contribution:
Through public petitions.
9. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
Through Executive Engineer of concern (R&B) Division.
