Introduction
The Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department was created in the erstwhile P&S Department Resolution No-17313/Gen dt.13.11.73. The Department was subsequently renamed as Tourism, Sports & Culture Department in G.A. Department Resolution No-14386 dt.10.06.80. In the process of further re-organization of Departments, a separate Department was created for Tourism vide G.A. Department Resolution No-270-Gen dt.02.01.1991. Subsequently a new Department of Tourism & Culture has been created in G.A. Department Resolution No-29049-Gen dt.30.12.1995.
