Manner of Execution of Subsidy Programmes

[Section-4(1) (b) (xii)]

Subsidy Programmes :

  • Name of Programme / Scheme - Self Employment Scheme: IT Kiosk [Application Form]
  • Duration of the Programme / Scheme - up to 2006-07
  • Objective of the programme - Creating self employment opportunities among the educated unemployed youth in Urban and semi - Urban areas in the State
  • Physical and financial targets of the Programme (for the last year)- 500 numbers and Rs.1.25crores
  • Eligibility of Beneficiary - Details are enumerated below.

Pre-requisites for the benefit : 

             (i) Applicant must be 18 years of age or above 
             
(ii) He / She must have passed Matriculation examination
            
(iii) He / She must be resident of Orissa 
             
(iv) Preference should be given to woman candidates and Physically handicapped 
             (v) He/she should be able to self finance or to get bank fiancé for minimum requirement of 
                  Rs.2.5 lakh.

  •  Procedure to avail the benefit of the programme - the intending applicant has to apply in the prescribed application from advertised in Oriya daily and would be selected to avail the benefit as a beneficiary by a committee constituted under C.E. OCAC.
  • Criteria for deciding eligibility - As mentioned above
  • Detail of the benefits given in the programme (also mention the amount of subsidy or other help given)- An amount of Rs.25,000/ - as subsidy per each kiosk
  • Procedure for the distribution of the subsidy - the average unit cost under the scheme comes to about Rs .2.50 lakhs which include the cost of computer, printers and a kiosk of about 200 sqft carpet area. the bankable scheme envisages a subsidy @ 25% of the total investment of each Kiosk subject to a maximum of Rs .25,000/-
